A poem about an abandoned building

The open door
Has be shut.
Open drive now
chained well up!

Concrete plaving
dotted in weeds
bleaches and blanches
in forgotten need

Around the shutters
paint fragments fade
Some builders work
left to rot decayed

higher hopes
perhaps fallen aside
within your walls
what dreams have died

And those dwelled
do they still haunt
woven in memory
gossamer caught

Will you end
some dower day
Or renewed rebuilt
given a stay
